Mineral Resources Limited (“AMR”) is an independent, international
based exploration and mining company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange:
ASN. AMR is focused on creating shareholder value through the development
of its 90% owned and operated Ban Phuc Nickel Project located in Vietnam.
The remaining 10% is held by a company owned by the residents of Son
La Province in which the property is located.
The Ban Phuc Nickel deposit contains over 121,000
tonnes of nickel within both massive sulphide and disseminated host
rocks. The deposit is open along strike to the east and west and down
plunge with significant potential to increase resources. Located 180
km west of Hanoi, the Project boasts excellent infrastructure with
a main road, power, and water all within one kilometre.
In addition to known deposits, which are expected
to begin producing in 2008, AMR has a 90% interest in a large exploration
lands immediately adjacent to the Project containing drill-ready prospects
that are believed to have significant exploration upside. These targets
exist on the concession supported by strong geo-physical signatures
and anomalous rock chip sampling results.
Foreign Investment License Details
- Foreign Investment License valid to 2013 - currently under application for extension
- Granted 150 sq. km Exploration License (renewal under application)
- Tax-free status for 4 years after capital recovery, followed by a 4-year period of 7.5% tax rate, then 15% thereafter
- Import duty exempt (on all new projects)
- 3% government royalty on recovered metal
